Now is there a plan requirement?

Congratulations Sprint!! I am still going for the Droid! But I didn’t think it was possible for you to actually get a new phone!

Of course there is a plan requirement. It is an Android based phone. All Android phones require an everything data plan.

This is great news for Sprint and its customers. Not so great for the other phone makers on Sprint, especially Palm. Don’t get me wrong, I have a Pre and like it, but the nexus one has hardware and apps that the Pre can’t compete with in its current form. Just my opinion of course.

@defiant: lol at least it’s not gonna be downclocked to 375MHZ, have it’s media and gps features locked down and the app store slashed from 100,000 apps to 17 like the verizon version LOL!

    SPCS Guy,
If you gonna go for the Droid anyways then why bother commenting?

I think this will be good for sprint, but that only people who already have android will go for it. Not many people like to switch their OS and have to relearn everything.

i work for sprint but i have no clue…will it b sold out of the stores or do u have to order it from google like the t-mobile nexus?

  17. Chico on March 22nd, 2010 6:15 am

Going to have to order it from google most likely.

better sell the EVO now or earlier than summer. If it really works in 3G now, then fine – it will do for now. When the 4G is fully up then the more Hoo-rah for the EVO later.
Besides, when summer comes other catch up cell phones might get even better than the EVO.

Well, I guess I’m out of luck on this phone because I have a excellent Sero plan that I’m not going to give up!
