Samsung SPH-D600, an Android – Wimax phone hitting Sprint

FCC just passed another Android phone to Sprint, this time will include WiMax network.  The new Samsung SPH_D600 will features a 480×320 display, 1GHz MSM8655 processor, WiMAX connectivity, a camera that may only be of the 3.1-megapixel variety, a front-facing camera, a row of physical Android navigation buttons, and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

    the epic is the d700 it makes no sense to go backwards, my guess is that model number will definitely change.

    @chico, the screens res is 480×320, Epic is 480×800. doesn’t sound like a replacement for the Epic, unless samsung doesn’t want a high end Android phone anymore, which would be stupid.. Epic sold very well. sprint liked the Evo & Epic combo, want a qwerty? get epic, else get evo.
    This sounds more like a Transform (m920) replacement. its res is the same 320×480, simular specs, so sprint wants a 4G transform replacement, sounds good since the transform uses slow M900 Moment hardware.
    But the transform came out Nov 2010, seems a lil too soon, unless they agree the transforms a PoS too, if so i want a free upgrade to this from my transform.. ;| bloody slow hardware.

    @aqua.. good point although i wasnt thinking epic replacement cause we are bout to release the nexus, but i could see it replacing the transform. almost forgot all about the transform. lol..

    This is a waste of time for Sprint and Motorola and Samsung…you have the HTC EVO 3d coming out soon…really Sprint? no wonder you guys are loosing money investing in garbage
