I wonder if Best Buy is doing this too? If so I may be in. If they let me do it without restarting my contract or taking away my $150 rebate. Need something to replace my Pearl till the Evo arrives.

I wonder… do you have to extend service? I’ve got an old Sprint Curve in barely usable condition. As long as I don’t have to activate it… I’d wouldn’t mind having a new one as a backup.

Yes you do, it is for a new line of service or upgrading.

Best buy is not doing it. This is for corporate stores and preferred retailers only.

What’s the big deal here? I see this phone for free all the time at BestBuy and Wirefly without rebates or trade in.

Usually when best buy radio shack give a phone for free it is usually for new customers only. Now not always, but a lot of the time it is.

If I trade in a blackberry pearl from at&t and I get this do I have to have that data plan? Can non-existing customers get in on this even if they aren’t going to activate a new line?
