Angry New tele-Scammers calling cell users WITH your CC info

I received a weird call and so punched in the callerID info to google (gotta love the web). In my case it was a Florida Keys number with a spanish recording. I found a relatively recent but long discussion on a recent set of scams that seem to be calling cell users a lot. In some cases that actually have your CC info already, but are trying to get you to confirm something. Just an FYI for everyone to beware.

For sake of the search engines, here's a few of the more common caller ID numbers that are appearing:

Gladly accepting donations of SU points if my posts help you out

A Spanish recording, in south Florida? I've never heard of anything like that!! (j/k).

Yes, it's always a good idea to double check who you're giving your info to, best case scenareo is to request them to 'note' your account and call back with a number you trust, and this goes for your phones (landline and wireless), credit cards, loans, etc..

ok I got a call twice now from that same number listed above (786-879-6669). Each time its a spanish recording so no idea what it is saying. When I try to call it back I get the operator saying "your call cannot be completed as dialed".

I saw on Google that there are alot of others starting to talk about this number as well.

Hey, I got calls like that not too long ago. When I finally answered it was an online prescription place, saying I was a perferred customer because I have order medication online before. So, they did have my cc information. Perhaps you ordered something online before and they are some sort of customer service billing center.
