A920 MP3 Player Help
So I followed the instructions that came with my A920 manual on how to put songs on the TF card with a card reader. Easy enough. The instructions say to put the MP3's in the music folder on the card, so I did. But to play the MP3's you have to "connect to internet" to access the player. Is there a way to play my MP3's without connecting to the Sprint Music Store? It seems that I have to have to have a connection to play my own songs...even the ones I download from the Sprint Store. That just seems kind of Bogus. Is there a way to play MP3's from the Media Player. Also, when I view my memory card via the phone it doesnt show the MP3's that I transferred there from my PC.

I think on the card there's a "MEDIA" folder that you put the music into. And somewhere on the phone is a browser where you can browse to the content of the card then select one of the files u want to listen to. I'd have to check on my friend's A920.

J/KMake sure to put your MP3 files into the MEDIA folder and NOT INTO the db folder, or any other folder, that is inside the MEDIA folder What you want to do is play you MP3 that is technically stored in your Mass Storage, so there are two ways to do this. 1) Press the right directional navigation panel, and then select Mass Storage. You will see your MP3 file(s) just select the MP3 you want to start with 2) Click on your Favorites soft key button which is the top left button when in the Main Standy By Screen. The first thing you will see high-lighted is the Mass Storage, select Mass Storage and then select the MP3 file you want to play While you are in the Media Player mode you can randomly select other songs like on a real MP3 player like pause, skip, fast forward, next track etc etc Have fun

Well...... "Mass Storage" is called "Media In Card" on the A920.... You can assign that to one of your "Favorites" (that's what I've done....) To get to the media player normally, Go: Menu > Media Player > Memory Card |

You can also have subfolders inside the Media folder. The phone should recognize them. Make the names short though.

You can play music in both(music and media) with out connecting to the internet(the music store just connects so you can buy music but if you are just listening (with the player) you aren't connected). There are good and bad points in both. The good with the music player is it automaticly organizes the music by artist and type and you can add playlists, the screen stays lit so you can see what's playing and it's easy to read song info, it's where music you buy from sprint is and organizes it with your's. The bad screen stay lit drains the battery, the screen looks plain with the white backround, outside lcd doesn't show signal or battery power levels, can't go straight to player with out going to music store first. The good with the media player is you can put all your media there, organize it in playlists, there is more than just a plain backround with a moving design effect, screen turns off to save battery power, you can see signal and battery power levels on outside lcd. The bad you can only organize media in playlist, lcd turns off(what's the moving effect for), harder to read song info(small type). Also with both you can answer calls when listening to music.

How do you get rid of the tracks that are on the memory card? Anytime I've tried to do it it say that it's "write-protected".
