Hitachi P300 durability?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading my Samsung SCH-8500 to a Hitachi P300. However, while I was in the Sprint store today, I noticed that the Hitachi did not seem to have a good fit and finish - rubber parts not fitting quite right, battery cover a little loose.

Is this due to the fact that it was a floor model? How were your Hitachis out of the box, and how have they held up to every day usage?

Thanks,

Matthew
