Isync does not work period with the 900. You can send your contacts one at a time via Bluetooth and use Dial Up Networking using the USB cable. You can also send pictures to your mac using Bluetooth.

The one nuance is to ensure that, in preferences, the iCard format is set to 2.1, rather than 3. Otherwise, the locations (i.e., home, car, etc.) will all show as cell on the Samsung handset. Joel |

i posted this yesterday in the a920 thread, i would imagine the process is similar...
here is another mac bluetooth tip for use with the a920. maybe even the a900 and a940 also. since samsung doesn't support the protocols necessary for isync to work... after pairing the computer FROM the phone. i used a utility called vcard splitter to create individual vcards for each contact. as you know, apple address book exports multiple users into one large group vcard. this utilty prevented me from having to manually export over a hundred vcards. then this little trick saved just as much time... after choosing to send a file from BT file exchange, you can shift-click mulitple files from that open dialog box. it then transferred all my contacts at once. hopefully this can save some mac users some hair pulling and aggravation. |

i didnt bother with transferring any numbers, but im soooooooooo lost on transferring mp3s to the phone. i did one, through the bluetooth file exchange on the comp, the phone found it perfectly, and then it said vcard accepted. now i have no idea where it is, and how to delete it.
and with the USB cord plugged in, the computer doesnt recognize it as a drive. is there software for this? all it say is: Handset is set as a modem for PC or PDA. No data apps on handset can be used. Still lost

Thanks for the tips JBHorner and humara, maybe there should be a Mac section in etiger13's FAQ.
knafeiy, in addition to using the phone as a modem if can also show up as a USB Mass Storage device just like in Windows. Simply go to Tools/Mass Storage/Connect to PC and the phone with automount as a drive. Don't forget to unmount before clicking disconnect on the phone ;-) |

i was able to finally see it as a mass storage device, but i tried to delete a file from the phone in one of the folders and it wouldnt let me.
likewise, it wouldnt let me drop a file in the music folder either. again, this is using the usb cord. the bluetooth has got me really really lost. i was able to send a file, but it came to the phone as a vcard and have no way of accessing it or deleting from the phone. oh well |

at least not on 10.4.3 anway. here's what i did.... hook up the phone to the mac via usb. go tosystem preferences open network pane under the show pulldown : network port configurations click on the new button at this point one of the choices should say "samsung cdma technologies" once you have that setup, (you have to also specify the sprint vision modem string, and set it to dial #777 with no user name and password) you should be able to connect to the internet via the "internet connect" app or just click the connect button which will bring up the internet connect app. connecting via usb seems about twice as fast on my setup and my evdo connection. |
