[Sprint Know It All]

This is for people who have yet to access or don't know what thier lock code is.

I will start off by saying that a lot of security issues can be addressed by using your lock code. Your lock code can be used to set some phone #'s in your phone book as secret. it can be used to get to the menu to erase all of your phone #'s out of your phone book. It can also be used to lock people out of your pictures and other personal things on your phone that you don't want your girl... i mean other people to see.

Q: How do i get to access my lock code?
A: It depends on your phone model but it is most likely in the security menu. Menu>settings>security>"put in the code here"

Q: What is my lock code?
A: If you haven't changed it, it is 1 of the following in this order: The last 4 of your phone #, the last 4 of the account holder's social, four zeros (0000).

Q: If i do an ESN (phone) swap, how will the lock code be affected?
A: It will still be one of the previous answers that was stated before. If you buy your friends phone and put your number on it. the lock code will still be the same.

Q: Can i change my lock code?
A: Yes. once you have accessed the lock code menu, you can go to the "Others" menu to change the code.

Q: What are some of the cool things that can be done with the lock code?
A: Reset your phone, reset your pictures, erase phone book, lock video and picture access, erase downloads. they even have a setting that will lock your phone on start up so if somebody steals your phone and it gets turned off, when it comes back on they won't be able to use it unless they know the code.

Q: I changed my lock code but don't remember it, what can i do?
A: Bring it to a sprint store, and the tech can get it for you, as long as the tech computer can read the phone.
