Oh that thing is funny...

I heard they were going to have something like that. Well.....I would imagine they have something more up their sleeve. I'm thinking like......the ability to plug in the controllers from previous systems (via an adapter).

the controller is innovative, but i dont think its realistic enough. you can play unique games, but i dont think typical 3rd party games will transfer over well. I can see nintendo rushing to release a more normal controller later on down the road (remember sega released a 6button contoller for the genesis) but i think the controller is going to kill the system, or at least keep it in 3rd place.

I'm sorry, what is going on here... Let me explain my position I have been a SONY fanboy for a very long time All my lining room is SONY (except my TV cause I cound't get a 36 in TVwhen I was shopping for one). But here is the thing... I will not be purchsing the PS3 when it comes out for 2 reasons:

1. It's not going out till next year
2. It will have less power and versitlity then the X-BOX 360

Now with that been said, I think that the new NINTENDO is not soo hot! esp after seeing that new cotroller. I think honesly, NITENDO needs to go the way of SEGA and ATARI and develop games not systems. And yes, in my humble opinion (as a SONY fanboy) as soon as SONY wakes ups and smells the krap thats about to be thrown in it's face by the X-BOX 360 they should do the same. It will be no contest.. 360 will rule all

You know reason one really isnt a reason, its more of a fact. As for the power and versatility. Not everything as to do with power and specs. The game boy has beaten a lot of competition with is lower specs than more powerful handhelds. The original 32-bit Playstation beat the Saturn and the 64-bit Nintendo 64. Specs arent everything, i think it lays in the games and the controller. Anyone remember the Atari Jaguar controller? Of course there are a lot of reasons the Jag didnt take off. Just because the 360 has more power and features doesnt mean it will win. Though im not into games much, i can see how microsoft will continue to threw money at something to make it work.

there is an addon to plug the controller into another regular controller design to get the 'traditional' feel

dude power isnt about everything. just because its more powerful doesnt mean its gonna be the best. it'll probably have the most sales but sales doesnt mean nothing to how good it actually is. plus, majority of people dont own an HDTV so they wont even be able to see the true power of ps3 and 360. there will be framerate issues. and i guarantee that 360 will compress their games and videos. dvds wont be able to hold enough. sony did a good job on aquiring blu-ray for more storage.

The adapter port on the bottom allows the "remote" to be placed into a controller shell to allow a more traditional way of game play. Check out cube.ign.com for better coverage.

-EDIT-
Sorry for repeating ovaltine's reply. Didn't see it.

How do you figure the 360 is more powerful than the PS3 when the PS3 is gonna support 1080P and the 360 will be 1080i?

I'm not talking about the Revolution. I'm talking about the controller. I haven't seen what the revolution looks like but I'm pretty sure I like it either way because I'm not that big of a fan of Sony or Microsoft.
