Sanyo 8200 mic problem

Hello everyone, I am not sure if this the place to find out about this, But here goes! I have a sanyo 8200 phone, and the mic to talk to someone,(on the phone), or the memo does not work. If you yell loud when you record you can here a faint voice come through on the memo through the speakerphone. That is problem 1, My other problem is it looks like some of the wires are damaged (bent) inside where the home charger plugs in. The phone charges fine, but could that have anything to do with the mic not working? Maybe wires crossing or shorting out? It looks like the mic is right above where the plug goes in. I hope this makes sence! Thank you for your help! Jim...........
