Sanyo 8200 users: does your screen stay lit during an entire phone call?
I recently purchased a Sanyo PM-8200 and the phone's screen stays brightly during durin g the entire duration of a phone call. This is such a waste of battery power, and I was wondering if this was just a bug of my phone, or if all 8200's were like this. My old Sanyo 's screen DID turn off after a set period during a phone call.

go into menu - settings - display - backlight. and see it its says always on. or check out (in the same sequence) sleep mode in your diplay menu and see if it says always on. if it does change it.

No, I have the main lcd and standby settings on a timed setting. They go off at the set times during other use of the phone, but when I'm in the middle of the phone call, it doesn't matter if I'm on for an hour, it stays brightly lit the whole time.

hmmmm. no idea then. i would take it to the store and show them. if it can not be fixed it'll get replaced. (if it's not damaged)
speaking of damage. did it ever get dropped or wet at one time? that could cause it to tweak out to.
