Question Sanyo RL 4920 problems

I've gotten a Sanyo RL 4920 cell for my daughter to use in case of emergencies. She's done something to it so that now all she can do is to answer incoming calls and the only outgoing calls that can be placed are to those that are stored in the phone book or through ReadyLink.

I can't get into any of the Menus or do anything to the clock. I've called Sprint and they suggested that I take the phone into a Sprint Store. Is there anything that I can do without having to do that?

Thank ya'll,
Scott

you have to under settings and security then go under others and then limit use. both of those should say allow all. If not change it to allow all and that should allow all numbers to be received and dialed.

go to menu, settings, security. type in the last 4 digits of the phone's number. go to security settings, and then limit use. that should put you where you want to be to change what might have been changed already.

Pressing the Menu button does nothing. It will however take me out of the screen saver if it's active.

I can get into the menus by using the "shortcut" button assigned by either pressing up, down, left or right on the middle button. However, when I press "8" for Security, nothing happens. I can not select anything.

Is the keypad locked or something. try pressing and holding the back key down for a few seconds to see what happens. or does it ask for the lock code or something.

It sounds like the phone has more problems than just the call restrictions. Unfortunately for you, you probably just have to take it to the store and see if they will swap it out under warranty.

The 4920 has been known to have a lot of keypad issues. Just look at how the 'end/power' key is sunken in and hard to press on most of them.
