Question Sanyo 7400 (Qwest) USB software that works?

Look! It's a QWEST user! GET HIM!

Shucks, Qwest phones are so nearly Sprint phones now, I was hoping ya'll could help me. Qwest doesn't have a cool community like this (and if they do, please post a link!).

MAN I was so excited to get this Sanyo 7400. Ebayed a USB cable that came with USB drivers and software (BitPim) so I figured I was all set.

Wrong!

BitPim can see my phone (under the MM-7400 setting, no setting for the SCP-7400) and receive data. I can upload images. Problem is, I cannot seem to upload ringtones.

Tried the forum suggestion for making an AAC ringtone and ended up with a nice, 30-second .m4a clip to upload. BitPim doesn't recognize the file (it adds it as an UNKOWN) but it attempts to upload it, erroring out shortly thereafter.

Tried a plain-jane .mp3 file. BitPim recognizes .mp3s just fine, and it manages to get about halfway through the upload before erroring out.

As far as I can tell, my USB Modem driver is installed correctly. The computer noticed the phone right away. I've downloaded Sanyo USB drivers from many sources, just in case.

Should I just scrap the USB cable idea and bite the bullet on Sprint PCS Vision just so I can send files to my phone?

Or is there another piece of software that will actually recognize AAC ringtones and upload them?

I thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Unhappy

Forget I mentioned Qwest. Just pretend it's a Sprint Sanyo MM-7400.

What's the most reliable software package to use with the USB cable?

I use BitPim with my MM-7400, but haven't tried uploading anything yet. Downloads work great, though. Sorry I can't be of more help.
