How many people use ORB?

Last night I downloaded Orb for the first time and I'm lovin' it. I can stream my entire mp3 collection to my phone and any mpeg-1 file (movie) also. I've started converting my divx files to mpeg-1, resizing them to my phones size and they come out beautiful on my phone. I've recently tested Aliens and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I cannot believe this software is free, because it shocks me at how easy to use it is and beneficial it can be. What I really would like to do is rip my girlfriends Seinfeld DVDs and be able to stream them. It's just like the possibilities with this software are limitless. So anyways, how many of you use this program? I think that anyone with a 7400 would enjoy using this software, or anyone with a media player who doesn't want to pay for Sprint TV. I have vision free for now, but now that this software works, I think it is the deciding factor to keep vision. Hope to hear from you guys,
Mike

I'm still confused, so if i doownloaded it before, and put a 3gp movie in my folder but it wouldn't play. Is it only mpeg-4 or what. And do you have to have a tv card if your only wanting to watch movies you've downloaded and stored on your comp?

You don't need a 3gp movie. What I did was I took a divx movie and resized it to 320 x 240 and converted it to MPEG-1. All of my mpeg files worked at first but i could not get divx, for i would get a green screen. Thats why i had to convert them.

Here's some useful info for ya:

Question:
How can I find out whether my Phone or PDA is Orb-compatible (can stream media in Orb)?
Solution:
The best way to find out if your web-enabled device is Orb-compatible (i.e., suitable to stream Live TV, Video and Audio in Orb) is to actually test it on our Orb guest site:

* Enter the following URL in your device's browser: http://guest.orb.com

* Click on the Enter Sample Account button.

* Once inside the guest account, you can select TV Listings, or recorded Video and Audio, and attempt to stream live TV or a recorded media file.

This should give you a first-hand idea of how well will your device be able to stream media.

So, FishLover...if you just downloaded this software last night as you said, How come you say the guest.orb.com is "OUR SITE"? Is this your company and your software you're hawking? Why masquerade it as something you just stumbled upon and downloaded?

Sounds FISHy to me...

i use it and love it. i am able to stream my entire mp3 collection. i havent had luck with movies. i was hoping to get my southpark and family guy episodes to work.
im going to get a tv tuner card so that i can stream tv to my cell phone. below is a list of cards that work. has anyone streamed tv to their phone? how is it. were you able to choose any channel you wanted (including cable channels- like espn)? or do you have to leave your pc on 1 station and that is the channel you have to watch. does anyone know if a different tv tuner card would work?

Supported Tuner Cards
* To enjoy Orb TV Live, your TV cable needs to be connected to the TV tuner on the back of your Windows XP computer.

ADS Instant TV Deluxe PTV-305 PCI
ADS Instant TV Deluxe USB (External)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150, PVR-250, PVR-350 or PVR-500(Note: WinTV PVR-USB or USB2 are not supported)
AVerMedia UltraTV Media Center PCI 500 and PCI 550
Emuzed Angel Dual TV Tuner

What hardware version is your phone dmaul? I've got 0101 and my software is 1.010SP. I'm really interested in this program, but I keep getting M32 General Playback errors when I try to use it.
