I checked my phone vi660, before i switched to a 8200 the other day,,i used around 3 gigs, since aug of 04.

I called sprint last night, after 6 peps on the phone, they gave me a plan, 20 bucks a month for 20 mb,,but unlimited for the first 3 month,,,,to use my cell phone as a modem..

So they do have data plans to use your cell as a modem

20 bucks for 20mb
40 bucks for 40mb
80 bucks for 300mb

thats what they told, me.

but if u sign up for either one, u get the no overage plan, for 3 months, meaning u can have unlimited data for the first 3 months..

Whoa - they have no way at all to monitor that - and as the letter makes clear the only way they can tell the difference is by usage pattern - and even then they're guessing. I have a PPC6600 and can stream movies from my computer with ORB, can play XM Radio all day, and can go to any website for however long I want. I'd never sign up for a plan like that. Even if I occasionally used my laptop with my phone the usage would be so minimal compared to the usage on the phone itself that it would be ridiculous for me to get a data plan like that. - sheureka

I'm with Sheureka, I do so much with my 6600 that if I hooked it up to my laptop it would look like normal usage to sprint.

Is there a way to measure how much data you have used in a month? My bill never tells this information.

We have the cable for your VM4050 to use it as a modem and give all instructions with the cable all for $8.95. It is all you need to connect to the net.

Yea, we were forced to lower they price dramatically due to e-bay whores.

Let me make a correction however, that cable is $13.95 not $8.95.

*Got confused since most of our cables are $8.95.
