UMD Movies
I was just wondering who is buying UMD movies for their PSP. I was browsing best buy this weekend and found more movies on the shelfs than games. I own a psp but i personally dont see the need to buy a movie for it. I was reading gamespot on a article on how sales are booming and that more and more movie studios are signing up to release UMD versions of their movies.
who out there are buying these things? i understand the concept of maybe little kids for the road but i am also having a hard time wrapping my mind around a 9year old playing a 250 psp and a few 20 dollar movies that are psp only. portable dvd player i can see. oh and i didnt see any "younger" audience movies on the shelf either. not knocking it, just wondering if the audience is really as big as everyone says it is.

I buy them, I have about 10 movies and occasionally when Im not lazy I convert a movie on to my memory stick. To me I like them, sure some movies do not come with added features but some actually have deleted scenes, be hind the scenes and previews of other movies. Its not made for every one but a vast amount of ppl are really catching on.

yeah, everytime I go to walmart, which I hate but only shop there since I get a craving to buy stuff at midnight and around here they are the only ones open. But I just pass through the DVD section to see what new movies is out and when I look into the PSP section, I see movies and then I buy 1 - 2 before I leave. Sometimes a game as well. But for the past two months I have not purchased any games but movies alone. MVP, FIFA, and untold legends are the only games out of the 10+ games I have not fully beaten yet or fully played a season. |
