DUN does not stay active on 6601
I have had the device for a day. Included the largest data plan, since I would be using on my laptop, via dial up networking to surf the net. I have connected and surfed, but the 6601 always disconnects after about two minutes. I noticed similar comments from others. Is anyone able to connect via bluetooth DUN without the phone automatically disconnecting? If so, how. I pair the devices and choose dial up networking on the laptop, with the #777. It connects fine, but disconnects as described. While it is working it is fast (110-144). The key is trying to get it to maintain connection.

would a chat client, like ICQ or AIM keep the connection alive by constantly pinging its server? i think i remember back in the day that people would run icq or aim to keep their dial ups from timing out.

I tried pinging. It would stay connected and ping. But as soon as I open my browser the 6601 would disconnect. Has anyone been able to maintain a bluetooth dun with this device? Maybe mine is defective, but it seems other people are having the same problem according to some of the other forums.
