Newbie question for Pocket PC users

Looking to get the PPC 6600 when it comes out but don't want to have to pay the extra $15. What exactly is the extra $15 for? do you have the option of refusing it? I already have vision on my 8100 and I will using the 6600 for mainly instant messages, Outlook express and the media player.

From my understanding as long as you are just doing an ESN swap it shouldnt affect anything. Though people are disputing that as well so it's seems to be all just luck at this point. As any lawyer will tell you, dont volunteer info, dont ask "Im not going to be charged for this am I" - let them tell you. Its like asking a teacher if the class has any homework right when the class is about to finish - you may just be reminding them.

What i want to know is if you don't pay the additional $15, will I be limited to what I can do on the phone or will it be a pay-as-you-go kinda thing? Do I need the vision to use the microsoft applications?

If they are wise enough to know about the charge then they are going to charge you - if you have this phone you can't refuse it. You can take the phone bakc and maybe get something else but to use this phone on the network that is what the charge is for
