Does anyone know if you can take the case for a Sany0 8100 dummy phone and put it on an actuall 8100?

If it's the same one the stores use, then most likely not.
The screws are in diferent places, the keypad is usualy glued in, and the screen is part of the case. You probabaly could if you cut the pieces out & drill new screw holes. Also, they do not have an ESN sticker on them and it's not easy to get them off without damaging the sticker itself.

I'm thinking no, I have one. The screws appear to be in the same place, but the back of the dummy is not useable, that's for sure. It's "battery" is one with the back of the phone, not removeable. The side buttons appear to be permanant on the bottom/back side of the phone. You may be able to use the upper/top portion, but I haven't taken mine apart yet to see.
