The Hell Ive gone through

Maybe this is the wrong section to post this on but im going to anyway.I hope someone here can help me with a little problem that im having with my local Sprint store....well first off a have a VM4500 that i am very happy with...but it had the old hardware version and yes i had the dailing issues with it...so the 1st thing i do is i call CS and explain what is the problem and he tells me "yes sir there is a known problem with this phone bring it to your local Sprint store have it tested but you should have it replaced...i will note your account of this" So i figure ok no problem so i go to the store the tech takes my phone to test it and has me wait for prob a good hour and a half!!He comes out with it says he updated the software(which he did to ver.1.011 or whatever it is)and see how it is....so i take it and its fine for like one day then all hell breaks loose on it.i go to use the speaker phone and it makes these loud beeps and then the battery doesnt hold a charge and now the barrel plug doesnt work and so on.So i go back and explain the situation(and ill give the rep i was working with credit he actually seemed to give a crap)he just said "ok what we are going to do instead of fooling around cause obviously there is a problem with the phone is im going to order you a replacement as soon as one comes up"so now im like ***?He shows me a sheet that they get twice a day he says that shows phones that are available for replacement..but no VM4500 on it!!Ok then he tells me he will look on it daily till one comes up and when he sees it he'll order it...fine thats cool.

So about another week goes by and i dont hear from him so i stop by on the way home from work and i see him..and guess what?There is a 4500 on the sheet ....he orders it tells me it takes about 3 to 5 business days ok i can accept that plus the holiday weekend.Now here's where it gets interesting i get a voice mail yesterday telling me my phone is in..great!!!I stop by on my way home from work pick it up and guess what?its a Silver 4500!!!! so now im very happy with whats taking place i get bring it home use it all night and all day today no problems.I get in my car to go home from work and i plug in my barell charger....nothing...no response to the charger so i try my wifes same thing.hmm thats odd ....so i get home i try my wall charger(which is a flat plug BTW)still nothing.Now i have a phone i cant recharge!!!!

So i call the local store tell them whats up and he says bring it down and they'll take care of it..(do they even check these things before they go out?apparently not...the rep says it probably fell through the cracks)ok fine.I go there and they have another recon'd blue 4500 they can give me...so fine i get that the girl does my phonebook swap(the original rep i was dealing with was not there...but i need to get this done ASAP) and hands me the phone and tells me im all set.I ask her to plug in the barell plug and flat plug before i leave just so i know they work(i dont think that it too unreasonable to ask)she said they were ok she checked them when they did the phone book swap.So i go out to my car and i notice the battery was very low i plugin my barrel car charger and guess what...it works sparratically and beeps just like my original phone did!!!!I march right back into the store and tell them that its not working properly and i show them so you know what they tell me.."just use the flat plug instead its a known issue with this phone so dont use that charger just use the flat one"at this point im bull_***** then i tell the rep about the hardware version that i should be getting ver 201 as told to me by the rep(i checked this phone and it had software 1.010 and hard 101)and i tell him that i have talked to CS about this and thats what they told me.Well now he starts to get real arrogant with me because i told him that even though its a replacement and reconditioned phone i expect it to work like or as good as new(is that too unreasonable?)In so many words he tells me there is nothing more he can do for me so i tell him i want a new phone.He says he cant give me one they are all out and nobody has them.So i ask him"so basically what your telling me is that if i was to come in and want to buy a new VM4500 you can not sell me one?"He tells me no he cant.At this point im a little perturbed so i go on my way...while im going home i try to make a call and the phone tells me my account is invalid!!!!so i check the phone info and user name and low and behold the freakin idiots never programmed my phone number into this phone!!!!!!!!(it says under phone # 000-000-6258 and user id is <empty> which tells me that this phone was wiped clean and never programmed with my info!!!)

So now at 10.00 o'clock at night i have to call CS to activate this obviuosly defective paperweight thats these morons couldnt do.Is there a rep or someone south of Boston that can help me here...all i want is a phone that will work properly and has the correct hardware and software so i will have no problems and not get jerked around in the process.Am i wrong in asking for a brand new phone because all of the trouble im having with these so called recons?I dont think i'm being unreasonable here i just want something that works thats all.I have a bill thats due in a couple of days and im seriously thinking about not paying it until this matter is resolved(and im going to tell CS this when i call them to activate this POS phone).Am i being to unrerasonable here?I have been a loyal sprint customer for over 3 years now never missed a payment and have been completely satified with my service(plus a have a business account)but this is complete BS.Im hoping someone here can help me with this(Deval i know your prob reading this)but i do plan on calling executive servies about this in the am.Please someone help!!!!!!!!

ok just got off the phone with CS they reprogrammed my phone and activated it but even the rep was apalled that the store screwed up and didnt do it....so she noted my account and even she said i should be entitiled to a new unit...so we'll see what happens
