Treo 300 MSL from phone

OK I figured this would be the place. I posted in the PDA section but this is a little different. WHat I'm looking for is a way to get an MSL off a treo 300. Sprint had told me the number but it doesn't work. They say that the reseller has changed it. Now this is a refurbed treo. Is there anyway to get the MSL so I can activate it. I'm going to contact the reselller tommorow, but I figured if anyone knows how this may be easier and quicker.

Thanks for any help

the MSL is based on the ESN of the phone, so if it was flashed with another ESN, you got a paperweight there

I verified the ESN in the firmware is the same as on the back of the case. Do Sprint stores have the ability to go in and reset the MSL.

nope. but you might wanna confirm that the ESN on your phone matches the one they see when they pull up your account to get the msl. this is a dummy answer, but when dealing with sprint tech support, most of them are. aside from that all you can do is replace the device unless you wanna try to brute force it, which means trying 1000000 different combinations of characters starting with 000000 and working your way up to 999999. you might get lucky and get one in the 00#### range, also, of the MSLs you've heard I'm guessing the first few characters are the same, many types of phones have a range of MSLs that all start with the same few characters, that may limit your possibilities to a few thousand or so.
