New apps for the Vm4050

Greetings! The application library for the Vm4050 has gradually increased, and now, there are a decent amount of applications available for it! I figured I'd review some of the new ones available.

Pocket eBay - Excellent
Summary: Whether you're the most avid eBayer or just like to browse out of curiosity, here's an almost perfect way to eBay on your Vm4050. The program makes great use of the screen, works extremely fast, and is full of features. Pocket eBay lets you manage your eBay account, as well as search eBay listings. You can view the gallery picture when available, view description, shipping terms, payment terms, and more. The program loads listings extremely fast, and uses every inch of the screen and keypad to make navigation a breeze.

Downsides - can only view the gallery picture (only one picture, and it's not full size) , has a few minor bugs.

Earthcam Mobile - Good
Summary: want to know what's going on in Times Square? How about downtown Memphis? Earthcam is the pinnacle of cool, and the refresh rate is surprisingly good (about a frame every 2 seconds) . Once you go online to earthcam mobile's website, you can add a list of favorite webcams throughout the country- some pretty cool.

Downsides - the program's navigation is a tad quirky, and you can't add to your favorites from the program itself. Also, perhaps the biggest kicker is that the images are only thumbnail size, due to the phone's extremely high res screen. Still, it is entertaining. If 1KTV is bearable for you, then this will be too.

Spongebob Bowling - Excellent
Finally, a good bowling game for the VM4050. This game is not only very fun to play, but it features graphics and animations that will amuse even those who aren't spongebob fans (me included.) Gameplay is fluid, and each of the five characters add a little change to the game.

Downsides - if you absolutely loathe spongebob, you'll hate this game, but otherwise, it's a great new addition to the Vm4050 library.

My favorite that they've added for the 4050 is Qbert. I never really played that game before but it's pretty fun...and it uses the whole screen.

That's great, I'll have to give it a shot. If anyone has tried some of the new apps (Spider Man Pinball, etc.) , let me know. I'd like to review them, but my wireless bill has to be within reason.

Anyone know what "Power Chat" is?

I tried Spiderman Pinball. The flippers lag too much, however, so I returned it. I might try Qbert though.

why pay for pocket eBay when you can just go to http://wap.ebay.com and do all the same stuff?

Dammit. T-mobile refuses to support the QVGA screen of the TM-150 at all. No games or apps at all.
