New channel on Sprint TV.

Hey,

I don't know if everyone noticed, or anyone knew.. but today I noticed "Discovery" under Entertainment on Sprint TV.

I was watching The Crocadile Hunter earlier. So cool..

Everyone I show my phone off to, and Sprint TV.. they're like "TV on your phone? That is INSANE!"

Just curious though, how many other providers have tv now? I thought it was only sprint.. but a few people I have shown are like "That's cool, I've seen that before tho.."

They all say mine looked the best/clearest..

One guy today was telling me a girl friend of his has it on her nextel, how can that be? I thought their net service was way behind.. but he said its definitely a nextel customer cause everytime he calls her it goes "Nextel customer trying to be reached" or whatever.. I was like "That's definitely nextel for ya.." haha

Well, until Sprint TV, Cingular had some test markets with UMTS -- err whatever that is and they were using the Motorola phones and they looked pretty much the same quality..

Only Sprint

Trust me, Nextel does not have TV phones. The discovery channel has been on MobiTV for some time now. Everyone listen up, go to www.mobiTV.com and click on the "Request A Channel" link. I called them and they said they aren't getting enough responses to add good things like Anime or Soaps, etc. If we all go to the mobiTV web page and click on your favorite channels in the survery, or suggest your favorites, they will add more.

Thanks,

You have to download it from the Sprint website. You put it in your content manager. Oops, I was thinking Mobitv. Not sure about Sprint Tv. Go to the Sprint site and check it out.

Edit: I just checked. Maybe it is only for the "multimedia" phones. You can get Mobitv though. I could be wrong. Anyone else?

I went to the website and it looks like Sprint TV is only available for the new Multimedia phone....not Video phone. That really sucks...figures that Sprint would do this to force me to get the Multimedia phone. They could have easily put Sprint TV to work on the existing video phones, but they want us to buy a new phone! Man thats so wrong.

So MobiTV is 9.99/month. Is Sprint TV the same price? It doesnt look like MobiTV would have the same type of channels as Sprint TV.

There is a thread: Sprint tv vs Mobitv. Type that in the search and you will find it. I don't know how to post the thread.

TechTV, or I should say G4 now that they have eaten up techTV, sure would be nice.

It sure would!

Think we can 'call our local phone provider and say, "I want G4!" Maybe if enough of us ask.

Though, I'd hate to have G4 on my SprintTV and watch a clip of them bashing the A700.

MobiTV is live while SprintTV is clips. SprintTV seems to work more consistently though. I've had nothing but trouble with MobiTV. It usually plays for a few minutes then starts looping on a 15 second segment. Very clunky.

Yea, I like the aspect of Live tv, but sprint tv has a higher fps, and is just all around clearer, and better looking.. if mobitv ran like Sprint tv, i'd be all over that..
