AIM messages forwarded to phone?
Hey,
Since I have the mm700, aim is pretty much imcompatible.. Is there a way I can just have all the messages sent to my comp AIM forwarded to my phone? So if someone important IM's me I can know to call'em back, or get to my computer to respond, really sucks vision AIM doesn't work for the 700. if I sign into vision aim which doesn't really work right, i can still receive messages, sometimes.. but they don't go to my computer and phone, just the phone.. I don't now if i made much sense there, but thanks! -Andy |

Hmm.. I think I found a way, I thought there was. It was through some options on AIM, I couldn't find it earlier when I looked though.
What about doing the same for MSN? |

Does it cost anything or does it just take out of your messages amount on your plan?

You can forward them to your phone, but not reply.
If you want to have a true two-way AIM experience, try AI-Buddy. For about $2/month you can use their SMS interface to interact with all your buddies. You can even get alerts when they sign on and off. Hints: Keep your "Away" message on AI-Buddy turned on. This way messages don't go to two places when you sign on your computer, and you can set your Away message to send a notification that you got the message, are on your cell phone, and will respond as soon as possible... something like that. Also, you can send a message to bl@ai-buddy.com with the text "o" to retrieve your Buddy List. I've used it for a couple months now, prompted partially by the Vision compatibility issues on the MM-A700 -- which I've long-since dumped -- and the fact I've always enjoyed AIM via SMS since it came to Verizon Wireless a while back. sounds cool, but when I go to there website I'm completely lost as to where or how to go about signing up for the phone-based aim, it looks like its all on the computer?
Also, can you use it with your download credits, or is it a seperate bill? |
