bitpim ringtone transfer problem
I have a 8200 and a usb cable. Im using the futuredial usb drivers and bitpim 0.7-14 and 0.7.16
I am able to move pictures back and forth from the phone but I cant move a qcp ringtone I made to the phone. I tried many times and it looks like it succeeded but when i check the phone its not there. I was able to use the focus tool to send it to my phone, and the qcp file plays just fine on my phone. Why cant i send the ringtone from the pc to the phone via usb? |

Uploading qcp files to Sanyo phone is not supported in Bitpim. Only downloading qcp and uploading/downloading midi ringtones. That is directly from the manual.

Does anyone know what the png format should be in order to send pics to the phone with usb cable?
im assuming 132x160, but does the color depth need to be set a certain way? 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit, etc Also does the vertical and horizontal resolution need to be set to anything either? |

Image size
When I send pics to my phone, they come out small. I'd like for them to take up the whole screen. How is it with you guys?

A: I had the same problem too, but if you read the log, an error occurs because you can only transfer 2 certain file extentions and .qcp isnt one of them, if ANYONE knows of a program that uses the USB Data Cable to transfer .qcp files to your phone that would be awesome, cuz i make kick ass good sounding ringtones via .qcp and i dont feel like paying for PCS Vision anymore just to upload them to 3Gupload and download them to my phone. |

I haven't heard of any program as of yet that can send .qcp files from pc to a sanyo phone. Bitpim is great but it can only send .mid files to your sanyo phone. Oh wow i just realized this is a fairly old thread, well I just joined.....he he

And welcome to the forum! If you have a Vision plan on your phone, you can send QCP ringtones to yourself using an uploader. There's an explanation in the link below of what an uploader does, what it requires and where to find some.http://sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83030

Is there any way yet to transfer QCP through a usb cable?
I am so sick of the stupid generic ringtones on my phone. I bought a cable over a year ago and would love to put some of my own on my phone. Sadly, using Vision through a text message then going to the link is not an option for me. Someone give me good news and say yes. |

as far as going through a cable on a sanyo phone i have seen nothing that says that you will be able to do so. the only way is to send yourself the ringtone via a website and download it. Sorry....

Hi all...there is no sw to write .qcp files to sanyo phones....and this explanation..is detailed at the bitpim help.....:
Sanyo Error Codes When trying to send media files to a Sanyo phone, the phone will sometimes reject the file and BitPim will report a numerical error code. These errors codes will be displayed in the Log pane. Some of the reasons for an error are: * Invalid file type: Sanyo phones only accept PNG wallpapers and MIDI ringers. Other file types, such as QCP ringers, will not be accepted. (This is a limitation of the phone, not BitPim.) |
