Have the price for white light emmiting diodes dropped yet. Last time I checked, they were >$1 each.
The reason that I wouldn't do that is that after I trade in my broken v0101 and get a new v0102, want to see if there are anymore issues with the phone before I void my warranty. |

i found some nice pics and instructions for replacing LEDs on the scp-5300 and so i think i'll give this a shot myself when i replace my current phone. seems straightforward if you've had some experience soldering, and i don't think i would have to worry about making any "fatal" mistakes.
