Mini-Review Audiovox/Sprint/ VI600
Picked up the phone yesterday.
The good: Nice form factor, fits in the front pants pocket well. Solid build. Battery cover fits tight with no creaks. Buttons are all solid. On-board SMS. (Now, if Sprint could actually deliver an sms message that would really be the complete package). Screen is acceptable. It can almost be seen in the daylight. Speaker-phone works well and appears to be full duplex. If it's half, it sounds pretty good. Earpiece volume is very good with very clear sound. No complaints about how I sound to others. The bad: Signal appears to be on par with Samsung...not to good. Battery life is miserable...a little better than the T608, but keep a charger handy. Screen; not much color or contrast. Button backlight is dull green. No picture ringers available. Not able to reconfigure 4 way nav key. Pathetic ringers; only 1 normal ringer. Included are other favorites such as, Kindergarten, Choo Choo, Toddler, Whistle, and Comic Song. Who-ever gave the blessing to this fine group of ringers should be fired. |
