BitPim & VGA1000 Pictures Question

I want to xfer images from my computer to my phone (vga1000) using bitpim. I use photoshop to create my images and i save them as jpeg, but i cant get bitpim to send it to my phone. I can access the phones directory tree but anything other than an unaltered image pulled directly from a vga1000 phone isn't stored.
i keep getting an exceptional error. I think it's because the file has an extension after being saved by photoshop. If this is the case how do I get rid of the extension?

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if someone already addressed this.

thanks.

I think it's a wierd format saved on the phone because only photoshop will open the a620 photos for me. directly pulled most other apps won't open the jpg (and you have to put the .jpg extension on it for photoshop to read it). I'm thinking that someone will have to create an app that will save the jpg in the a620 jpg format or you're screwed?

supposedly ReaJPEG can convert the raw pic files from the phone into a normal jpg viewable by paintbrush and such, but i dont know if it actually works. if it does, it may also be able to convert jpegs to the raw format

Cool

If we could save to the raw a620 jpeg format then you could upload a picture wallet pic to put on the external lcd, that'd be awesome.

a program i use to convert the file from my A680 is ACDSEE. you can view the file using ACDSEE then if you want, you can hit CTRL-F and choose what format to convert the file to. very nice and simple. now i wanna figure out how to put pictures on my phone as well.

the format of the pictures on the phone is a jpeg file, it's just that the phone adds some info to the beginning of the file, if you used a hex editor and deleted the first 148 bytes and then saved it any one of the editors would be able to open it
