Lr2000 & Lr2500

Just did a trial run with the Sanyo LR2000 & RL2500 at the Sprint Store.

Both marked at $299.00 (Holy COW!)

The SprintStore didn't even have it out on display yet. The reps pulled them out from the back- so we began to play.

Here's my opinion.

The 2000 appears to look like the 4900 but a little thicker, a little bulkier with rubber sides. Feels like a tonka...meaning durable.

The walkie talkie feature is just like NexTels' phones. The 4900 has great volume as so does the 2000. We tried it with the flip phone (2500). The flip one's volume was a little distorted and muffled. It too seemed a little thick...but it could have just been me.

Just like NexTel, there is about a 1 1/2 to 2 second delay for the transmission to go accross the network. So it appears the network is up and running.

The 2000 has all the same features the 4900 has. Awesome speaker phone etc.

The 2500's volume (I think) could be a little louder...or clearer...

The cons: 2000::: It's a little heavier, slightly thicker, it's slightly longer. Maybe just the rubber padding on the sides. And the price tag.

The cons: 2500::: The volume I think could be louder and clearer. The same features as any of the other flippers without a camera. And of course, the price tag.
