Check voicemail for free PCS to PCS
This may be old, but I have confirmed that when I dial 11+xxx+xxx+xxxx and xxx+xxx+xxxx is another SPCS number, and I hit ** to get to my Voicemail, the minutes used are charged to PCS to PCS and NOT peak. If it works for me, I can only assume that it will work for all users, as Sprints network seems to be the same in all markets. Anyone experience anything different?

I've always called my friends phone who has Spritnt and did the same exact thing, been doing it for about 4 months now. No peak minutes used, and just takes a couple of extra seconds to check my voicemail anytime for free. (You obviously must have PCS to PCS calling on your plan).

You can also, call the first three Digits of your Number followed by "Mail."
An Example of this would be, if your phone number was 212-917-1234, you would dial 212-917-MAIL(6245). This also works from a LandLine Phone, so that you don't have to call your cell phone and wait for your voice mail to kick in before you Log in, Plus, it'll help preserve your "AnyTime" Minutes. SO if your @ home you could call that Number, Example-212-917-MAIL. It's a lot more simple to use than it sounds. I use it all the time @ work to check my Voice mail. This System works with any Sprint Exchange. So even if your out of the Area like in another State or something and your phone won't work or is dead where your at, just think about what SprintPCS Exchange would be in that area that your in, and just dial the SprintPCS Area Code followed by the Exchange and then MAIL(6245). Well hopefully everyone understand how this will work. If someone else that knows about this could come in and share their Two sense on it, please be my Guest!:-) HOpe this helps anyone out. Oh another way, and I think this may have been stated already, but I'm doing this for the Sole Purpose of the info being all in One Post. You can call another persons SprintPCS phone then when their VoiceMail Kicks in, just press ** (press * twice)then it'll prompt you to enter your SPrintPCS Phone Number followed by the # sign. Does anyone know of the Toll-Free 800 Number for the Messaging system? I know that there is one out there, It was given to me one day and I lost it some how. Now I'm looking for it, cause it makes it conveinant to stop @ a payphone if you had to to check your VM. please PM if anyone knows. Thanx. And that concludes My 2-Cents! |
