Angry ID Scan

I have been a Sprint customer for over 15 years. Today at the Sprint Store they wanted to scan my drivers license. I refused. The store manager overrode the scan but told me if I refused again they would not provide me service. I plan on refusing the net time I need service and if Sprint refuses me then I will gladly move on.

They started rolling this out late last year. It's to combat all the fraud issues they've been dealing with. I replied to another thread about this earlier this year.

Funny, Verizon didn't feel the need to scan my drivers license.

Verifying your info is one thing. Scanning a document is another IMO

Checking your ID is one thing, scanning it and saving it to a database is another! I never had situation like that, nobody never wanted to scan my ID. I'd definitely call the carrier and ask them what the hell is going that in that store, because that really sounds illegal.
