Question Was I lucky?

So last week I joined Sprint and got a Sero Premium 500 plan, was I lucky in getting it? This is what I did: Went to Sprint.com/employeereferral , got the My Way plan for $70, then called 888-876-8381 and tried to see if a Rep would do a TOL, they said it was not possible and she noticed that I was in a pricier plan (My Way $70) and switched me to the Sero Unlimited for $60. Yesterday, I called the same number again and asked the Rep if they can move me to the Sprint Sero Premium 500 for $40 + $10 Premium data, the Rep asked me why I wanted to move to that plan and I told her that it covers all of my needs plus it's cheaper.

I don't think I've heard of the Sero Unlimited for $60.

It's a new Sero plan that is "supposed" to be only available to Sero users on older plans. Talk, text and data is Unlimited for $60 at a non-discountable rate.

888-876-8381 this still the number for SERO? I need to call today and get the wife a new phone. Been on this plan for 10 years. Always goofy with phone upgrades. Usually in the past they had to switch plans for a moment then put me back on SERO.

That's the number for Employee Accounts. Since I joined Sprint, I have always called this number.

sounds good but at this point I questions the real value of SERO compared to all the corner options that tmobile and others can offer.. yes, unlimited data is nice to have but for slightly less money one could have say 10GB a month, plus unlimited calling and texting and GOD KNOWS much better service than sprint. I can't imagine how they even continue to compete..
that said, I still keep my 50$ a month SERO account just for my separate business line, lord knows why at this point.

Most get into this plan or keep it for subsidized prices. From what I have seen, no other plan at this price ($50), offers 2 year contracts (including other carriers).

yes, 2yr plans are going away, although the AT&T FAN and PREMIER accounts are still 2yr plans with subsidies. I would imagine that the sprint SERO plans stay this way, but as I noted one might be able to actually do better with another carrier, slightly cheaper service or more features and of course better functionality.

Sprint just officially brought back 2 year contracts. For me paying $50 on the Sero Premium, having good signal is the best thing there is (others may have a different opinion).

Exactly. After the subsidy, the plans are a good $30/mo cheaper.

The best thing about having an old plan like this is, when you manage to add another line with the same plan as the original line.

I agree that its very difficult to continue with Sprint (service) here on Long Island. Sooo many dead and weak zones. If it wasn't for the free roaming on SERO I would bail out.
