Unhappy S6 Fingerprint Sensor error

My S6 is giving me an error on startup stating that there was a error with the Fingerprint Sensor and that I should restart it if I see the message repeatedly. I have restarted numerous times, did a soft reset, set all my Application settings back to default, cleared the Cache of the Fingerprint process and none of it helped. I once saw a brief time without errors when upgrading the SHealth app, but there is no such update available now.

Is anyone else seeing this? Internet search is turning up nothing.

I hard reset last night. No change. Taking the unit back to Sprint and hoping for a free replacement. If nothing else, I'd think this would be a manufacturer issue and Samsung would replace it, but we'll see.

following up: returned s6 for a replacement. I was under my 14 day customer satisfaction guarantee window, so they just returned it under that process and then I re-did the lease plan. I have yet to re-enable Fingerprint scanner on this new one ... probably shoulda since I'm over my 14 days now :-/
