S4 screen broke, need to transfer contacts

Dropped and broke the screen on my S4 making it completely useless. I have connected it to my computer via usb to remove all pictures off the phone. My backup phone is a Samsung Galaxy Victory, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out who to transfer my contacts over to it. Kies won't recognize the Victory. I never did a google contact backup or anything of that sort. I'm pretty much out of luck so I figured I would ask on here. thanks for any help

Google backs up all your contacts from an existing Android device by default onto it's servers and hence any Android phone you get once you put in your Google Account info will restore any contacts onto your new Android device.

Go here https://contacts.google.com/preview/all on your computer and see what is stored.

You have to allow Google to backup your data which is usually when you setup your gmail in the first place. I don't allow it cause I back mine up to my memory card.

it is soooooo convenient to just have back up on, log into your google account after getting a new phone and having everything just load on its own. i don't know why anyone wouldn't

Don't need the internet to backup or restore. Only your phone and card.

Does the display still function and only the touchscreen fails? If so, you might be able to connect a USB mouse with an OTG cable and navigate that way. I did that when my LG G2 screen broke.

If you have a Google account, everything should be in there, contacts, photos, etc.
