Galaxy Note 4 / Note Edge Thread

So, now that both the Note 4 and the Note Edge have been officially announced, what are your thoughts, opinions, likes, dislikes, etc about both of these new phones? You gonna get one? Which one and why? Got any extra leaked info?

Starting off, I am gonna get one, I can't decide which one yet though. Somewhat leaning towards the Note 4. I believe they should have went all out, went with 4GB ram, and it would have been nice for IP67, but I kind of understand why. Also, should have gone with the Exynos cpu in the US instead of 805 for 64bit, also stick with usb 3, instead of going back to 2.

And that's my input.

Not interested in the Edge at all. I may upgrade my Note 2 to a Note 4 if the camera takes wide angle photos.

I was going to wait for the Note 4 for something different after having two LG phones in a row (G2/Flex). I played with the LG G3 and had to get it since I liked the G2 so much. After seeing the Note 4 I'm glad I didn't wait for it. I could change my mind but I'm thinking on maybe trying the iPhone 6 since a bigger screen is coming out. Life as a phone junkie.

As a fellow Phone Junkie (tbakergobuck), I am all over this Edge / Note 4 thing.
I've been reading all the specs, comparisons and while I really do like the Edge screen for the 2nd screen, but really worries me about cases and being safe if it gets dropped.

I've had every Galaxy S phone that's come out so far, and most likely will continue that trend.

While I won't go w/ a Iphone, I am curious to see that one in the 5.5 inch screen. My Wife wants the 4.7 inch phone.

I do wished that I could get a Windows phone in the Galaxy line. But it's GOT to have a large screen like the the notes.

Just pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Just like last time, I received the "you will have to change your plan when you activate the phone" message, but I know I just have to call the SERO number to activate it. Woo hoo, I am stoked about this phone!

As a SERO subscriber I saw the same message, but was scared off by the threat of a more expensive and less useful plan.

I intend to go to the Sprint store to see about arranging a preorder with assurance that they wont take my precious plan away from me

I am a SERO customer and all of the newer phones say that. The plan change never occurs at the purchase point it would happen at activation. As long as you call in to the EMPLOYEE SERVICES (877-876-8381) people when you activate you will be fine.

I did that with my new iPhone 6P

Now you do have to have the SERO-P upgrade for this to work

What are the chances that I can keep my Everything Data 450 plan? I really don't want to get sucked into the $60 Easy Pay plan with monthly payment for the phone too and it looks like the other option is the $65 2gb plan.

Even though this is my third time ordering a smartphone on SERO-P, I have to agree that the online warning is always a bit scary. I had no problem ordering the phone online and when it arrives, I will use the number the folks on here have posted for the activation. I loved my Note 2 and I can't wait to get my hands on the Note 4.

I went with the charcoal too! Back in 2012, I got the Note 2 in white and my brother got it in black. I swear the screen on his Note looked so much bigger to me. This time around I wanted a change. I think the charcoal looks cool!

I just went into my local BB to pre-order a charcoal unit, and they said I could only pre-order the white one. Looks like I can pre-order online, has anyone done an online pre-order via BB before?

Also, does anyone know if the charcoal Note 4 comes with the grippier back cover? All they had on hand were the white ones and they had an awful hard plastic feeling back.

The Note 3's that they had on hand had 2 different back covers. The charcoal unit had a soft grippy feeling back, and the white was hard plastic.

Why is this $350.00 ? Wasn't the Note 3 $250.00 ?
