Surface tab $199 at MS

Fell for it and bought a new surface for $199.
Only because it has a true web browser.
Already have a good laptop, an iPad, and android phone. And now this new toy.

Damn technology

Contrary to popular belief RT isnt that bad of an OS it just lacks the app support of iOS or Android but its growing every day (needs more free apps IMO) my fiance has an Asus VivoTab RT and loves it

Not even worried about apps. I just want it so I can stream sports illegally without whipping out my laptop . Sad right?

You can't install another os on RT tablets they run arm processors and have encrypted inaccessible bootloaders.

Nope they can only boot the OS installed on them. If you get a windows pro tablet (e.g. with an x86 processor) you can. Such as the Venue 8 PRO I picked up running a quad core processor .

Its been 1.5years so far and no go. The most they accomplished was the ability to run unsigned apps.
