MotoTalk and PTT ?

i was wondering if a SDC phone can "chirp" with a IDEN phone using MotoTalk? will this work?

No because iden is shut / shutting down so the only phones that will work now are the ones that had shortwave (aka tower less) operation available and it will only work to other phones with the same tech

It wouldnt there is no way to get the i1 working with native PTT but you could have it work with other smartphones using a data PTT app like Voxer or TiKL

I mentioned that above they could talk to each other if they support the ability to direct connect without a tower I forget it official name I had a couple that did it back in the day they got about a half mile range.

Missed that post. But ya I remember it was only a short distance. I can't remember the official name either but I know my I870 had it.

If all the devices support moto talk then it will work no problem. Its just limited by range and you wont have the private calling features as there is no phone # assigned to the old iden handsets.
