Gasbuddy

With the price of gas being what it is today Gasbuddy is an app designed to help you find the cheapest gas prices in your area (GPS location, area code or city name) or an area you may be traveling. The concept is simple. Other drivers report the gas prices of gas stations and some big box stores (Costco, Kroger, Safeway, etc) in whatever area you select. You can also sign up to report gas prices yourself. That process is easy, too. Just provide a username and an email address (they don't spam or sell your email). I've always found the prices to be very accurate. It's a super easy to use app, too. Just open it up, click "Find Gas Near Me" and you're off and running. You can even get directions to the station as well as photos to help you find it. Check it out in Google Play.

5 out of 5 stars from me.

I just get gas @ Giant Eagle because of the great fuel perks. With Gas buddy I found out that another Giant Eagles near me is usually always 15 cents cheaper then all the other locations in the City. Adds up. Thanks Gas Buddy. LoL

One of the best apps where loyal customers have to participate to make it work.

Been using it since I was introduced to it in 2011. Very nice, and has saved me some money over the years, or let me know it wasn't worth driving the extra distance to save (0.02 over where I'm at? the time isn't worth it)

Many people don't have Costco though.

Isn't it? Matt, you have two by you (assuming you are in west side). I'm jealous my closest ones are a good 20 minutes away

Our only Costco is 20 mins away as well maybe more depending on when you go. Do they have fuel perks? I got premium gas at Giant Eagle for $1.09 last month. Love fuel perks. Filled up my tank plus three five gallon cans and spent a whopping $29 bucks. Still using the gas today.

No perks just generally cheaper than other places. I get 2% cash back when I use my Costco AMEX.

Supposedly GasBuddy is in private Beta for a redesign. Hopefully they make it look nicer.

Crap I just checked and I have no fuel perks at Giant Eagle. Thought I would have racked some up but with the bad weather we have been shopping at Kroger since it's a little closer. Think I have 30 cents in fuel perks at Kroger and the wife filled up last week so she's good. Wife was wanting to check out Costco. Do you really save $$? How are the food prices? We canceled or Sam's Club membership because it wasn't really worth it for us.

As of today my Giant Eagle gas station isn't cheaper then other gas stations around like it usually is. It's 15 cents higher then CostCo. I could get some gift cards at Giant Eagle. Every $50 you spend you get 20 cents in fuel perks. That's how I got gas so cheap last month because of Christmas/gift cards. Still have 1/4 of gas left from 1/10. lol
