"We’re looking forward to bringing two new Windows Phone 8 devices by Samsung and HTC to market with Sprint this summer...."

Yeah my guess is March or April but could be the summer but I would think they would get them out before then. They might be waiting on Samsung to get their Ativ S up to production since there is not that many out right now. So we will have to wait and see but either way I'm glad Sprint has seen the light.

Well, I hope the HTC phone is not at all similar to the 8X.

Why would I want a Windows phone? I'd be afraid to invest in an operating system that had less market share than Symbian. I'm coming up on three upgrades on my family plan and one of them asked about Windows but I know nothing about it. My device is a Note II, my third Android.

Can't answer that for you. Personally, I don't like Apple, and am played out on Android. Plus, all of my computers run Windows, and am looking to unify under one "ecosystem", so to speak.

I think that Windows Phone will be taking up more of the market share sooner than those think. Heck Google knows this their not worried about Apple anymore all 3 of your top hardware manufactures are making Windows Phone Devices Samsung,HTC,Nokia. So I think by the end of this year and next year the market will shift you will have more Windows Phones to choose from they will work well with the rest of the Win8 Products like tablets,PC's,Laptops plus the X-Box. So right now it's early in the game but I think Google and Microsoft will be the top 2 then Apple. Just my 2 cents.

The top OEMs have been making Windows Phones for a whole now. Samsung and htc started it off, then Nokia was added. So unless windows 8 is super duper nice, haven played with one, then I still think it'll be brushed off like BB10

Personally I'm going to advise my family members to stay with Android, I know none have any interest in iphones, my son thinks they're too restrictive. I think investing I anything other than the top two platforms which currently have 85% world market share would be a mistake for us. I'm very happy with Jellybean on my Note II.
