The EVO 3D may not be a replacement for the EVO 4G in Sprint's warehouse exchange list.
Asurion has different policies from Sprint.

So it may be the Evo Design 4G as the warehouse replacement. Does anyone know how long the waiting list is?

I gotcha, didn't know it was as complicated as that. Well it won't be long before I find out, and I'll be sure to update.

Bad news, got a perfectly good Evo 4G as a replacement. But at least it works.

My wife's Evo was just replaced because her camera started having contrast and brightness issues. I contacted Asurion and they replaced her phone with the Evo 3D that she received today. I need a new phone too.

just got my first day release evo 4g replace by asurion with a refurbished evo 4g...sorta ticked that it cost me $100 plus $20 for rushed delivery but now i have a working phone that doesnt over heat and is very unstable...also as a side note, i took the original to sprint and the phone was rooted and they refused to look at it saying the root was causing the problems which voided the warranty...i should of unrooted it but was taking my wifes phone it and since it was no wait i gave them mines...oh well, i got a working phone, she got a new evo shift and now we wait until the new phones come out in a few months...

I too have dropped my 4G many times without it breaking...however, my luck ran out last night when it fell flat on the glass on the sidewalk...screen is completely shattered, and the LCD underneath even cracked slightly. Very frustrating, because I've been using cell phones since I was a sophomore in HS and I've never broken a screen or had to have on replaced.
I was excited that when I filled out the claim online today, Asurion offered me the Evo3D instead...although I'm stuck with the purple color. Definitely not a huge deal though! I'm not sure where all the 3D hate is coming from in this thread...lots of people saying it's a downgrade and such. The 3D has a better processor, more ram, more storage, higher screen resolution, better battery life, etc. How is that a downgrade? Unless you really needed the 8MP camera... If I filled out my claim yesterday (Sunday, Easter) morning, how long does the process with Asurion usually take? My status page says they're doing everything they can to ship it ASAP and they'll send me a notification when it ships...should I expect it Tuesday? Wednesday? Longer? My 4G is somewhat usable, although the shards of glass keep falling out and scratching me... |
