Disneyland coverage - data issues

I have used a cell phone in disneyland for the last 2 years and always seem to have data issues. I can make calls and text but using data has always been difficult. Anyone else have issue with this? Thank you

disney

last visit in april with sprint hero. had no problems sending text and picture mail. was able to use "mouse" wait app with no problem. I assume that used data. It was OK. mostly sprint use was OK everywhere I went from Glendale to Santa Monica and Disneyland. I've seen people on this forum complain about coverage in so ca but it seemed OK for me.

I went in May had horrible data service on my Evo. It was excruciatingly slow.

too many people posting fb status pics and other uploading without enough carriers added things will catch up. Eventually

We have data problems every time we go to Disneyland or California Adventure, yes, phone calls and texts work just fine but anything that uses data, is very, very slow. There is just too many people using their phones there and the bandwidth has never been updated to accommodate the amount of traffic that is used. I love the Mousewait program also, but it only works perfectly from my home and not at the parks.

Disneyland data is pretty horrible most of the time for me. I go a few times a month.

I guess it depends where you are cause I never really had a problem with data - and that's with being underground. Then again it was really good around the 50th anniversary cause there used to be a Sprint truck tower out in DtD. I think for the most part the Sprint network runs fine at the Resort since the Company uses Sprint phones.

I think you wish Disney would let them put a tower in there. Considering Disney Mobile is now a Verizon offering, it would make sense that Disney has no great desire to improve Sprint coverage.

One can only hope that Sprint has cell sites at the edge of the park property to help with coverage as much as it can.

I turn off data when I'm at Disneyland for two reasons: 1) It's slower than a carrier pigeon and 2) It prematurely kills my battery

The Disney App that was originally only available for Verizon, has now been opened up to all carriers and available in the Android Market now, so I think that Disney should make their own app work better for everyone.

My bad. Disney stopped its service. Its "sister" service ESPN Mobile is on Verizon. Both used to be on Sprint:

Was at Disneyland 3 times in 2011 with my Sprint iPhone at service is almost impossible. There are spots around the Haunted Mansion where I was able to get some service but that's it. Coworkers on AT&T iPhones faired a little better but not much. In the end we were all disappointed in the lack of coverage.

I went to dland yesterday (3/26/12) and the Sprint coverage was horrible as some have mentioned, text were sporadic, calls almost non existent and web was useless...it seems like they have signals blocked or something...trying to use the Disney app was a battery hog...
