Sprint Ties Verizon In Customer Satisfaction Survey

http://theheatmag.com/sprint-ties-ve...action-survey/

Running more of a marathon than a dash, Sprint Nextel Corp. has caught its top customer satisfaction rival in a national survey of wireless users.

The Overland Park-based wireless carrier overcame its also-ran status from three years ago to stand alongside Verizon Wireless. They tied for top score, 72 out of 100, in Tuesday’s release of the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

Sprint’s strong showing marks a shift in the company’s attention to its customers’ experience. Three years ago, the focus was on fixing problems with billing, dropped calls and other issues that had pushed Sprint’s ratings below its competitors.

Now it’s working to improve on its widely recognized service quality.

There are so many of these stupid surveys...I don't know which one to trust or believe..

It's kind of like being at a BBQ feast where every vendor has award signs up....what did they all win in the best RIBS in 2010?

The good news is that Sprint has gotten better in every survey so something is definitely getting better.

I'll bet a significant gain was realized just from saying no to customers with irrational demands. They threaten to leave and Sprint says "Okay." Survey comes along and asks which carrier they are with and then they can ***** about someone other than Sprint.

I have noticed a drastic reduction in crazy customers. The vast majority have legitimate complaints now. Could just be that Sprint is clamping down on phone transfers.

I think they've gotten better in the past 3-4 years. I think with chat and email service, they can handle more and get more done.

This is good news. Sprint really seems to be heading in the right direction lately, for the most part.

I've never had any major problems with Sprint. I think customers with unrealistic expectations leaving for other carriers has probably helped Sprint in these surverys...those customers with unrealistic expectations will never be satisfied regardless of which carrier that are using. I'd rather they be with someone besides Sprint.

Anyway, I like the trend that I'm seeing and that is Sprint improving in almost every survey coming out lately. Just hope they keep it up.
