2011 NFL Draft Thoughts/Impressions

Eagles getting a guy that will be 27 in November? hmm not sure I'm that thrilled. I guess I should be since Mike Mayock described him as the nastiest OLineman (has me thinking Runyan). thought they should have went DB with the pick but I'm not thrilled about any of the DB's not named Patrick Peterson.

Jimmy Smith has too many maturity issues/off field problems.. wasnt he wearing a scarface shirt during the draft? Yeah that probably wasnt a good idea IMO. At least play the part that you're trying to change your imagine. Ray Ray should keep him in check.
...and Prince Amukamara will be one of the most penalized DB's next year if he plans on holding and grabbing to stay with his man like he did in college.

Jags getting Gabbert was a nice move.

Falcons trading away 4 picks including next years 1st for Julio Jones, who has drop issues and health issues was a bit of a head scratcher

So was theTitans getting Locker - should have just kept VY, they're the same guy IMO
..and Vikings taking Ponder, who they could have gotten later IMO

Day 2 should be interesting with Dalton still on the board.

I was kinda upset my Brownies traded but I think it was a smart move getting all those picks.

I agree on just keeping Young but then again who knows what the guy will do next.

Hey I'm a browns fan too. I'm already thinking about some good picks for fantasy football..especially AJ Green and Ingram!

Hmmm S Jarrett from temple? Sounds like a Quinton Mikell clone.

Sorry Steelers fans... as you know you wasted a pick on Limas Sweed from Texas.. you just did it again on Curtis Brown.. this coming from someone that's watched him play every college game.

Mallet to learn from Brady? Lucky.(Napoleon dynamite voice)

Daltons orange hair fits perfectly with the Bengals

Detroit ....looking like a nice draft

I'm fine as a Vikes fan with them taking Ponder. They seem really high on him and it sounded like there were a couple other teams behind them that wanted him too.

I loved the Lions draft. Finally after years of frustration we may be in store for good things!

As a Colt fan I really liked their draft as well, They finally invested in the O-line, The missing link for the Colt offense has been the running game for about 5 years, The O-line has been very weak at the point of attack. About time they started addressing it.

Steelers always draft well. I can't wait for numbers to get locked down so I can buy a Heyward jersey.

I'm worried that Ponder will end up being another failed project. Also, he probably isn't going to be ready, come opening game.

Mikell wasn't even drafted and Jarrett looks like a much harder hitter. Too bad with this lockout crap that the players and coaches can't even talk. I'd love to see him on the field but even if we have a season this will make the transition to the pros even more difficult.

The most wonderful time of the year.

This is supposed to be the time of the year when everyone's team is full of hope. Instead, there's just a bunch of players getting together and playing catch.

The millionaire players and billionaire owners need to do something before the golden goose gets cooked.

Raiders fan here, I felt we had a slightly below average draft, although I've heard mostly a slightly above average draft. We'll see how it pans out

Chargers fan here. I think we had a decent draft, nothing too impressive...though I love getting Vincent Brown. Watched him play at San Diego State and he's a gamer. As far as other teams go I think the Lions had a great draft. If Fairley pans out that D-line is going to be NASTY.
