MMS - Generic Network Error

So lately I have been getting this error more & more frequently when receiving MMS messages. Usually I ignore it and eventually I'll get the MMS, but sometimes I have to go back to the message and hit the a download button. I am using Handcent but the same thing happens in the stock messaging app. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix for it? I get these errors whether I'm on wifi, 3g or 4g. Its kind of irritating. Did a search here and didn't find anything.

Do you have the wifif turned on. I get that message often if I have my wifi running. If it is shut off I don't seem to have any issues. The wifi seems to cause a problem for the MMS messaging.

Make sure you are receiving them over 3G. All else will be a fail.

Wife has had same issues while at home as I have Wifi connected to both of ours. Turned off Wifi last night and it finally downloaded her pic.

Normal. Wifi takes priority over 3G on our phones. But you can only get MMS over 3G.

No way to force the MMS to go over 3g no matter what? What about if I have 4g on? Do I have to turn that off too to receive MMS?

Maybe. Have not tested that.
