4G Boost mobile question

My friend claims he can get his epic 4g on Boost mobile. How he's doing it, I didn't ask, but my question is since boost runs off the Sprint network, would he get 4g reception? He gets 4g where he lives on the Sprint postpaid side of the network currently.

Thanks,
Mike

Doubt it... wimax works like a giant WiFi router with ip/device access permissions. I highly doubt a loophole. I will probably predict they will do 4g on prepaid probably 20-30 a month extra

No, Boost is 3G only. Sprint wants to keep brand differentiation between regular Sprint and discount Boost, so their best services are reserved for the top brand: Sprint.

In my opinion, I think this would be a mistake by Sprint to offer a 4G prepaid option at this point. It's a premier offering and as such should, for now, be reserved for their customers that are willing to pay the premium price of going the postpaid route.

hahah GTFO dude sounds like your stuck in a lengthy Sprint contract to me. UMM Metro PCS just released their first 4g LTE phone called the Samsung Craft and the Samsung Indulge so if Sprint doesnt start equipping boost mobile customers with 4g Android phones they will simply leave and go to Metro!

and dont say metro sucks compared to sprint see this first:

Nah LTE is better just look at the Metro PCS Indulge whoop the Sprint Epic's butt:

Boost customers will flock to metro even quicker if Sprint did that!
