Question Evo Camcorder/video attachments

Maybe this has been discussed before but I searched and I could not find an answer...

I used to take videos with my EVO before and easily attach the video to an email and sent it. Now I can't unless I go to Astro and change the format.

When the video is taken from my EVO, it has the file format as 3gp which can be seeing with the EVO. However, in order to send it as an email attachment so the recipient can watch it, I have to change it to mp4... and attach the video from Astro to the email since neither gmail or yahoo let me do it...

Is there other way to do it? What I'm doing wrong?

Beer? Tool? DJay?... Where are you????? lol

Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly. (Sorry, my english is bad).
More Simple: HOW DO YOU SEND a video using the gmail or Yahoo app?
I'm not able to do it anymore.

Is 3gp the file format for the EVO?

I don't recall people getting other types of file format; mine have always been that type. Maybe astro used to do this automatically or Google was converting it? Maybe a different video camera app? Qik? Different rom / mod?...

If I'm not mistaken can't you open the camcorder, go to settings and set the encoding for mp4? That's what mine says.

Thank you guys for you responses. My camcorder have 3 encoding types:
H.263, H.264 (which I didn't know even exist) and MPEG4. I never touched the setting before so the current setting is MPEG4. I know that if you go to "Astro" and check the properties for the videos you have recorded with the EVO it says 3gp... (???)

MPEG4 = 3gp?

Guess that I'll continue sending the video through Astro...

Is this ocurring due to being using the custom ROM?

I also noticed the same, options is mp4, but the video test I did today it turned out 3gp; maybe renaming is still playable - running fresh.
