I'll be using my phone, then all the sudden, the screen will go black. I can still press Home, Menu, Back, and search, and the buttons still respond. The only way to fix it is to lock my phone then unlock it. Sometimes the screen will go black, and by the time I lock+unlock, it goes black again. It occurs when I'm doing anything from texting to surfing the web, and it is very obtrusive. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

When you press home, does the screen stay black? If so, maybe a hard reset or exchanging of phones might be your only solution.
It could be an app causing the screen conflict, maybe look for non-common ones or ones that were installed recently & noticed the issue.

I think I have the same issue, but it only happens when I have backlight set to lowest. I just don't set it all the way down anymore.

1. Yes, it stays black when I press home
2. I tried uninstalling all new apps 3. Hmm, you had the issue when your brightness is all the way down? I'll try keeping it a little bit higher. To clarify though, it's not that it gets too dark to read, it's as if the screen is shorting, and it turns off. |
