Thumbs up HTC Evo: Seidio Innocase Active Review

First Look:

Well the geniuses over at Seidio have done it again. We have seen great cases come from them before, for such phones as the Touch Pro 2, iPhone and the Blackberry Storm. This time they have outfitted the brand new HTC Evo 4G by Sprint. One thing that really makes a case stand out to a consumer is the packaging and this one really makes a statement. The case comes in a clear plastic packaging with a red background, which really makes the case standout and shows all of its glory. When opening the package you can’t help but get excited to know that this awesome looking case is about to cover and protect your awesome new phone.

The case is two separate pieces, one of which is silicone which wraps very snug around the phone. The case then fits into a hard plastic backing which has a very soft feel to it, very similar to the battery door on the Touch Pro 2. The silicone and the plastic backing fit together perfectly as you can see in the pictures. When it comes to design and feel of the case I cannot say anything negative about the case.

Daily Use:

After a few days of using the case I have come to love it even more than when I first took it out of the package. The design is perfect which makes a great feel for holding in your hands on a day to day basis. I keep my phone in my pocket and many times with silicone cases it is very hard to slide it into the pocket, because of the material; However, seems the silicone is covered in the back with the hard plastic backing finished in a smooth paint, the phone slides very nicely into the pocket with no friction. The two separate pieces stay together very nicely and have not come apart at all. If I had one negative thing to say about the case, it would be that the power button is kind of difficult to press with the case on. You have to press much harder than you do with no case at all. However, I understand why the designers would make the silicone so thick, because if they didn’t then it would be too easy for the material to rip. All in all I love the case and think it is a great investment for anyone who wants to not only protect their phone, but also wants to look stylish while using it.
