How Do You Route The TeleNav Voice to a Bluetooth Headset On a BB 8330m Curve?

I have a Plantronics Pro Voyager (a superb BT headset) and have not been able to get the Telenav voice prompts to route to my headset. I had previously been informed that it was possible to do so by pressing the speaker button, but that did not work.

The voice can be routed through a wired earbud inserted into the 3.5mm jack on the side of the phone, but being able to hear the voice via a wireless bluetooth headset would be much more convenient.

Does anyone know if routing the Telenav voice prompts to a bluetooth is possible on an 8330m? If so, how?

Thanks a bunch!

I had this before and eventually it worked. Just make sure you are all paired up and ready to go before you open Telenav. I can't find the options, but eventually it works.

Hi pmjohnson,

I just tried this on a long trip, but no joy. I had both the Berry and the Voyager Pro paired, but all the Telenav voice prompts continued to come over the Berry's speaker. I even randomly pressed some button on the Plantronics (not usually a good idea), but still no change. The only other option to adjust a setting in the BlackBerry. I'm thinking there HAS to be a way to get it to work, so my next step will mostly likely be to call Plantronics.

Thanks for trying; glad to hear yours is working!

Just hit the speakerphone button while navigating - that'll route the voice guidance over bluetooth.

Oh - just noticed you said you'd already tried that. Well, it worked great for me with the same phone and headset.

Hi there! Do I have to hold the speaker button down? Wave a magic wand over it? There's gotta be a way! The odds that someone here has an 8330M and a Plantronics Voyager Pro should be very high. Thanks for taking the time to write.

Exactly. There is a lag before it transmits to your headset. Hold it down when it's talking - it will kick in after a short delay.
