Can't receive juno email
I've just set up my email on my Instinct Phone through a pop setup and I can send email but I can't receive any email. I have it set up as pop.juno.com. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to get this to work?

Wirelessly posted (Instinct: TELECA-/2.0 (BREW 3.1.5; U; EN-US; SAMSUNG; SPH-M800; Teleca/Q05A/INT) MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)
Bump! I know someone has an idea on this. I have Juno working through the other pop account option in the email client and it works fine. I also went through and recorded my inputs when setting up the Juno acct on the Instinct and passed them on and he is still unable to receive emails. Anyone have a similiar issue? |

First off WOW didn't know people still had Juno.
![]() Not sure but try this. Incoming mail.juno.com Outgoing smtp.juno.com Don't know how juno is setup and have not checked. Will try to read up.

Thanks rootlinux.
The only problem with that is some isp's they block outgoing traffic when not accessed in the normal manner(like phone's email clients). For example, I never could send email till I used the outgoing server: smtp.sprintpcs.com. I picked that up here: http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/...&thread.id=850 For the incoming server, I used the info from Juno's support page for setting up Outlook to send and receive Juno email which indicates using pop.juno.com: http://help.juno.com/support/email/e...up-msoex4.html I can send and receive successfully, but so far, he is unable to receive, but he can send successfully. One thing i'm wondering that I didn't think of before gteresi...if you go to the email client on the phone, hit the back button and then hit the envelope/gear button next to your Juno account and then hit the settings button...is your auto-receive option set to "On?" Also, while you're in there, if you change the options to get 50 most recent and get 3K of text and then click done, it should attempt to refresh any emails that are in your inbox. One last thought. When I download my juno emails via the computer client(not the online client), any emails that I had in my Juno account on the phone disappear so they don't stay on Juno's email server as they are downloaded directly to my computer. Do you have another web based email account(non juno) that you can sign into and send test messages to your Juno account while you are completely logged out of the Juno email software or Juno online email client? |

I found the last settings on a Juno moblie help site.
Those should work according to Juno. I have no way to test it here.

Thank you. The Juno site I listed also has the same server info you posted however I was never able to send emails more than once using Juno's outgoing server or i'd keep getting authentication errors. gteresi, if rootlinux server settings don't work, then i'd wager you might have to hit up *2 and see if support can lend a hand on this one. I know I had to call them for one Juno email related problem, but I don't remember the exact nature of the issue. |
